Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. -Helen Keller

There have been some major highs and some pretty low lows this past week. The highs mostly involving some really amazing choir concerts, and the lows being me getting laid-off, practically living at the school, and not getting asked to Senior Ball (I'm okay with that last one, but it still kind of makes me sad...). On the bright side, SCHOOL IS OUT FOR TWO WEEKS!!! YEAH!!! And I'm getting my hair cut today. That's always good. I am SO excited for Christmas. The aforementioned choir concerts, caroling, performing at a few Christmas parties, some really good family home evenings, and frosting plenty of cookies with my family, etc. have really gotten me into the Christmas spirit :) Let's just say that even through the rough stuff, it's been easy for me to remember the true meaning of Christmas this season. I am definitely very blessed.

Anyway... I have been a little addicted to Pinterest lately (bad, but it's SO fun), and on that wonderful website, I discovered a 30 day drawing challenge. I figured it would be a good way to get back into sketching, and it would also be fun! :) So, I am going to be starting today. If I like what I do, I'll post it on here! If not... then I won't. However, I did like my first drawing, so here it is:
Day 1: Yourself

I know it's far from perfect, but I did only spend a half an hour on it, and it looks worse on the scanner, so that's my excuse :)

Well, that's all for today! See you soon!
