Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. -Helen Keller

It's been a while. Already you can see a trend for how this blog is probably going to go, but ah well... It is what it is. Anyway, a lot of great things have happened in the past couple of weeks, so here it goes!

First off, I am the Drama Sterling Scholar for Orem High School!!! Yeah!!! The competition was tough, since I was up against two of the most incredible fellas I know: Adam Leavitt (my number one partner from Shakespeare), and Christian Wawro (the only person I would ever trust myself to be on live t.v. with). These guys are SO talented, and some of my best friends, so it was so much fun to do interviews with them and have all of us rooting for each other every step of the way (not that it was a very difficult process... all we did were fill out papers and then do our interviews...but anyways...). I couldn't have done it without them, and I am so grateful for their friendship. Love you boys!

Next, we went on our annual choir trip to Salt Lake City on Thursday. It was amazing!!!! Being able to share the spirit of Christmas and our Savior with everyone in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, the Assembly Hall, at the top of the Church Office Building (this one was impromptu making it all the more special), and the North Visitor's Center, was definitely a testimony builder. Plus, it was really fun. Some of the especially fun stuff included:
-Boggle with Eva and Emily on the way up
-Stories about Barushka the tomato, and Larry the elephant with Caroline and Laurel (don't ask about that one...it was really hilarious)
-Inspirational speeches by Kristen
-Site seeing and Panda Express with Caroline, Laurel, Michaelah, and Braden
-Extremely amusing and slightly awkward bus rides home with Andy, Emily, and Eva
Overall, it was a very good time, and I am so glad that I got to go. I love choir! :)
This is me and Laurel. Good times.

Finally, last night, mom and dad took us kids to Michael McLean's Forgotten Carols up in Salt Lake. It has been one of my favorite Christmas stories ever since I was little, and this was the first time I had the chance to see it. It was AMAZING! I cried the whole time. And I made a friend with the lady sitting next to me. After the show, Michael has everyone link arms as we sing "We Will Be Together Forever Someday", and then "Silent Night". This lady gave me a big teary hug, and then afterwards told me that I had a beautiful voice. So sweet! I am grateful for people like that. I am also so grateful for wonderful parents who give me the opportunity to grow spiritually, and for my siblings who are my best friends. I love my family!!! :)

So I guess that's all for now. Hopefully I'll be back soon!
