What The!?
So I bet you've been wondering why i didn't just use riannicole.blogspot.com for my url. That is the title of my blog, but not the name of my website... why? Okay, probably you haven't been wondering, but it's been bothering me. So here's the deal. They won't let more than one person use the same url because that would be really confusing, right? So when riannicole wouldn't go through, I got curious. I decided to look up the rude blog that stole my name. It had one post. From 2008. What did it say? "Hey I'm Rian Iam nine years old , And I love God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" That's all. Are you kidding me!?!?!? THAT is what is using up my name!? How pathetic. That is all I have to say.
Thanksgiving Break-O-Rama
Since I have nothing better to write about, I figured I'd tell you all about my Thanksgiving break. So, here goes...
Wednesday: I slept in until 11:00, and then watched 5 episodes of Lost. It was pure bliss.
This is Boone. He's from Lost. He died a very tragic death. I cried. I am in love with him. That is all.
Thursday: Happy Thanksgiving!!! I slept in until 10:00, and then watched some of the parade. I was pretty upset when I missed tap dancing Daniel Radcliffe, but Scotty McCreery messing up his lip-syncing made up for it. After that, we all headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Bingham's for Thanksgiving dinner. Uncle Adam and Aislynn, Bailey, and Cecely were in town from California. Aunt Trina, Devonney, and their three new foster kids weren't able to come. We missed them a lot. Aunt Melanie was also here. Aunt Deni, Uncle Shawn and Makenzie, and Aunt Shawnette, Uncle Stan, and Karina and Marin all came down from up north. Uncle Eric, Michael, Brandon, and Mikaylah were here too. I had a blast helping the girls make pine cone turkeys out of felt, pipe cleaners, and obviously pine cones... Lunch was delicious. We all ate plenty of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, yams (okay, I didn't eat the yams... I've never liked them), rolls, and pie. Mom also makes this delicious frozen cranberry salad thing. It's divine. Anyways, after dinner Phoebe and I went to Walgreens and rented Pirates of the Caribbean 4 from redbox. We had a lovely time watching the movie and staring at attractive missionaries together. It was great. After that, everyone came over and we all indulged in a little rockband. Then everyone went to bed. Overall it was a really great day, and I was reminded of how truly blessed I am.
This is Cecely and I snuggling. She is so adorable!
Friday: Black Friday didn't happen for me. Phoebe tried to go, but it failed for her too. The sales at the mall weren't what she expected them to be, which is why I'm glad that I slept in until 10:00 instead of trying to go with her (can you see a pattern here?). After I woke up, mom and I decided to try a new exercise video that Aunt Mel gave us. It was KILLER. I'm still sore from it. But, it was good to get my first exercise in a couple months... (you think I'm kidding, don't you?) Around 4:00, Livi (remember her?) picked me up. She, her friend Michele, Michele's friend Kevin, and I all drove up to Salt Lake for the Temple Square lighting ceremony. we ate at Rumbi's (delicious), and then went to see the lights. It was so beautiful! Going up every year is one of my favorite thing to do, and it was so fun to be able to go with Liv. I love her loads! :) Anyway, here's a picture...
Precious! Like I said. Love her.
Saturday: Slept in until 10:00. Again. Then I cleaned the bathroom. It was great! After that, me and the fam (except for Phoebe, she was with a friend) went to Trafalga in Lehi. We went on rides, rock climbed, ate old pizza, and played lazer tag! It was such a blast. I have the coolest family ever! Afterwards, we went home, and then I had work. Lucky me! Actually, work's not that bad. I work at Coney's Frozen Custard. It's delicious, and the people are great! That is all really.
Sunday: Hannah Herring (love her), Kristen Bodine (love her), and I sang our solo and ensemble song from last year at my grandma's ward. It went really well. Then I got sick. I have been lying on the couch ever since. I watched Enchanted (started it by myself and then my family of course joined in), and we all watched Elf together. I singlehandedly discovered that Ralphie from A Christmas Story plays the head elf Ming Ming! I was very proud of myself.
Now, I am watching Lost again. I didn't go to school today, and I am still sick. If you look on the bright side, you can call it an extended vacation. I do hate missing school though. I fall behind, and I miss seeing my friends. Let's hope that I get better by tomorrow, and let's also hope that something exciting happens sometimes soon so that I have something else to blog about! :) Love you all!

Let's Try This Again...
Alright, so I'm a slacker. A BIG one. I set up this blog about a month ago, and I haven't even posted anything until now. You can see why my first blog would have failed. So, this is try numero dos. We'll see how well it goes.
Anyways, hey everybody! My name is Rian. Rian Nicole Shepherd. I'm hoping that most of you who are reading this blog already know me pretty well so that I won't have to bother with any silly introductions, but I do want to make a couple of things clear.
First off, I am a little nuts, and this blog is mostly for my own documenting purposes, so if you don't understand a lot of it, don't worry, you're not the only one. Secondly, like I told you, I am a slacker, and therefore I'm going to apologize in advance for the fact that these posts will most likely be few and far between. Finally, this blog is made possible by some of my best friends Olivia Mabey and Emily Erdmann. Both of these lovely ladies are avid bloggers and therefore this blog is inspired by them. This one's for you girls.
Now that we've got that out of the way, as a first post, since it is Thanksgiving time, I just want to list off some of the things I am grateful for.
First and foremost, my family.
This is them. That's Phoebe down in the left corner, with Lily right above her. Dad's the one sticking out his tongue (yum), and that's Mom looking disgusted. I'm the one looking disgusted next to mom, and then Isaac's right below me. They're pretty weird but that makes me all the more grateful for them.
I am obviously also grateful for my many wonderful friends...
Here's Livi...

This is Betty (known affectionately as "Belly") being her nerdy little self (just kidding, she's not nerdy, but even as a nerd she's GORGEOUS)

Jessica is hilarious. I love her.

And dearest Breanna

My beloved Caroline and Michaelah

And then here are some of my girls. Emily (the aforementioned), Jennie, Amy, and Haley (I feel like Carly and Eva should be in this picture too... you will most certainly see more of them later).

Yes, I have guy friends as well (Christian, Andy, Adam, etc...) but I don't have the patience to put all of their pictures up. :P If any of them along with any of my other girl friends (who are FABULOUS, and I wish I had the room to name all of them) want to send in a formal complaint, I will be happy to oblige them and put up their picture.
Next, I am SOOOOO grateful for my Savior and His Gospel in my life.
I am grateful for books, chocolate and ice cream (even though I'm lactose intolerant...don't tell my doctor), action movies (and yes, chick flicks sometimes), inside jokes, naps, good music, and a lot of other things that aren't coming to mind right now...
Oh! And, I am grateful for hot showers (I would be mentioning this right now because the one I had this morning was cold).
I think that's a wrap for this post, but I will be back soon (hopefully), and... yeah. That's all I guess. (I never know how to end these things)
